Laurel berry oil (Fatty oil); also known as laurel oil or laurel fruit oil, is a fatty oil rather than an essential oil. Traditionally crafted in Turkey using time-honored methods, this oil is extracted from the berries of the laurel tree (Laurus nobilis) through boiling and pressing. Its high content of beneficial fatty acids makes it highly moisturizing and soothing, especially for skin conditions like eczema, acne, and psoriasis. Unlike essential oils, which are more volatile, laurel berry oil retains its rich, nourishing properties, making it a key ingredient in products like Aleppo soap, known for its healing and moisturizing benefits.

Bay leaf essential oil is a volatile oil derived from the leaves of the bay laurel tree (Laurus nobilis) through steam distillation. It is distinct from laurel berry oil, which is a fatty oil. Bay leaf essential oil has a strong, spicy, and herbal aroma and is commonly used in aromatherapy and natural remedies. It is valued for its antimicrobial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties, making it useful in treating respiratory issues, muscle pain, and digestive problems. This oil is also used in perfumes, skincare, and hair care products for its fragrant and beneficial qualities.
